The latest GGOA readers' poll results are now available, suggesting that most Squirrels' fans think that Denis Marques will be the man to score the goals that may keep Omiya Ardija in the top division. The Brazilian forward, signed by the club during the mid-season break, scored two quick goals to emerge as a challenger to current top scorer Kota Yoshihara, but was red-carded in Saturday's disastrous 1-0 defeat by JEF United and as such will now be required to undergo a suspension of at least one game. The new GGOA poll asks a question that Ardija supporters have been discussing almost since the start of what is turning out to to be a traumatic season for the club. Who should take the blame for the poor results achieved during 2007? Is it the fault of ex-coach Robert Verbeek, unable to populate his preferred system with the players available to him and reportedly a coach who lost the trust of the playing staff?
Should it be the current coach and former chief scout Satoru Sakuma - a man with a terrible track record of signing and keeping players in his previous post, and with no serious coaching experience?
