Honduran international forward Saul Martinez has been commenting on Omiya Ardija's pre-season training camp on Guam, which has now come to an end with the player's return to Japan on Thursday. "What with training hard everyday, my fitness has improved a lot although I'm still not 100% and need to keep going through the rest of pre-season to be ready for the beginning of March," he said.
"We've all put a lot into practicing and have a better understanding of each other and of the team strategy. Now I think it's a question of just developing small details between individual team-mates that will help us to improve. I haven't really played with this kind of tactical approach before now, so it's very interesting and a lot of fun to learn new things. But having been on the camp for two weeks, our communication is better and it's really just helped us all to get to know each other."
