Uchida Set To Sign

The Sponichi website is reporting that Omiya Ardija's first major signing of the close season will be diminutive Yokohama FC midfielder Tomoya Uchida. The 24-year-old spent six years at Fulie, having made his debut early in 2002, and has notched up more than 200 league appearances for the club, scoring thirteen times. Uchida is reported to have attended the same high school as new Ardija coach Yasuhiro Higuchi and indeed it was a direct approach from Higuchi to the player which has led to the prospect of a move to Saitama.
